Home - Seri Sentosa (Peaceful and Tranquil)

14 years ago, I moved in to Taman Seri Sentosa.  It seems like a million years ago.  It didn't feel like home then, and every day as I drove home from work, I wondered when I would feel like I was going home.

Eventually I got used to the area and made new friends.  In retrospect, it is hard to remember the exact moment that this place became "home".

I have lived in the following areas: Tiong Nam (KL), Setapak Gardens, Masjid India (KL), Damansara Utama, Kepong and Section 14 (PJ).

In conclusion, this quote rings true that "A small house can hold as much happiness as a big one".

Charles,

Thanks for visiting. I guess the saying, "Home is where the heart is" is also true.

:D

It is not the place that matters, it's the people. I have always felt this, and you've just proved that you know this to be true as well.

Your home is a beautiful place because you are in it. Plus, you've made it lovely with your careful touches, and the pretty things that speak of who you are. And it's all done with love for the ones you share this home with - which occasionally includes this friend ;)

yes, that is true. That area is a very self sufficent area. Every shop also can be found there.

Pat,

It took me a bit of time to understand it well. When I did, it gave me the feeling of peace and tranquility. Suddenly, the name Seri Sentosa took on a new meaning.

Thank you for your generous words. I hardly have anyone over but those that do come, know it is their home too. :)

You are absolutely right. Everything is available within my Taman. There's easy access to highways and I'm spoilt for choice with so many shops and 2 huge supermarkets.

Of course, the best is that some of the best makan-makan can be found around here too.

Boney Nathan,

My first friend here in Seri Sentosa although I was here before you. It took me awhile to find my footing and then when I was ready, there you appeared!

What memories we made here, eh?!!!!!

:D

You were my first friend there too Lita...actually Jared was LOL! Such wonderful memories. Quanita always says she'll buy the apartment we lived in. It's the only home she remembers in KL. Besides as you said the best makan anywhere...:)

Hi Steest, I remember very well those places you lived before. Used to go Setapak for the yong tau fu, as well had several good friends staying there. Still remember Jalan Ayer panas, hot springs.
And from there go on the lonely estate, kampong road to Klang Gates dam, the Zoo, Merdeka studios.

For me it was living in different towns and cities, never more than 3 years, sometimes 1 year....but more in hotels.

Where we love is home. Home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts.
You have a pleasant week, and keep a song in your heart.
Best regards, happy memories.
Lee.

Hi Lee

I guess for you, home is where you lay your head as you travelled so much.
