Only 3362 people since 5 April 2011

I can't believe that since 5 April 2011, only 3362 people have viewed this.

Why?  I just don't understand why.

Even if you don't have an opinion about it, you should view it.

Even if you agree that it shouldn't be repealed, you should view it.

Even if you support it, you should view it.

Even if you think it has nothing to do with you, you should view it.

Unless....

Unless you know that if you do, you'll feel ashamed that you care only for yourself and no one else.

Unless you know that if you do, you'll finally understand why so many are fighting for it to be abolished.

Unless you know that if you do, you'll think differently.

Unless you know that if you do, you'll be changed for good.

That's what happened to me when I first read about the I.S.A. here.

So I challenge you to watch this short youtube clip.

I didn't know this was out there - so thank you for putting it up.

Malik Imtiaz is a brilliant man, and as always, he makes so much sense here. I used to faithfully follow his blog, but he stopped posting after a bit - not a surprise really: where did he find the time to write?!

Hi Lita,

I admit I have not seen this vid by Malik Imtiaz, but I have touched on this subject in my blog by way of commentary on Dr Syed Husin Ali's book, Dua Wajah (see my archive of July 2008). Syed Husin Ali wrote of his experience while being detained under ISA. The book now has an English translation.

The link that you gave shows the experience of Malik Hussin who underwent torture while under police detention. I first heard Malik Hussin spoke at a ceramah back in 1999 about this incident... among his words that I remember to this day is that this torture is happening is our own so-called civilised and democratic country, not some backyard nation under dictatorship. We still have a long way to go to developed nation status.

Hello Pat,

It's been going around and I had expected a higher viewing. This is the reason why I was surprised that only 3362 had seen it. I bet that recent "sex video" got 3000 hits as soon as word got out!

Malik Imtiaz is brilliant and speaks with clarity and authority on a subject that needs it.

Glad you like it and I hope you pass it along via your blog or email. You never know who doesn't know about it yet.

Love you
Lita

Hi Oldstock

Upon hindsight, it is only 4 days since it was up but when I think of the people scrambling to catch the recent sex video, I felt compelled to mention the low viewing.

I will go look for your blog in your archive of July 2008.

Thanks for the heads up on that.

When I was covering the anti-I.S.A. vigils, I became more aware of the need that it should be abolished.

Thank you for viewing it, I hope you will forward it to others.

:D

No sane and reasonable human being can possibly accept or tolerate the existence of secret police, torture chambers, corporal and capital punishment. Yet these hideous instruments of tyranny and cruel power have been used to instil fear and paralysis amongst the population for hundreds of generations. Why? Is it because a Jealous, Wrathful and Vengeful Deity program was inserted in our disk drives by the genetic engineers who created Homo sapiens in their laboratories several hundred thousand years ago? We have to locate that program and delete it, folks. Only way to end this nightmare!
