PJ Candlelight Vigil Take 8 - Eight is not Enough

Tonight's candlelight vigil drew a bigger crowd and they came from as far as Seremban! Some came by car, some came by bus, some came on foot from the Taman Jaya LRT Station but the the one who came on his bicycle took the first prize in my mind!

The brave speakers of the night!
Mrs Norlaila, Mariel, Angie, Lokman and Pinto

The crowd listening attentively!

The crowd from the other side! So many huh!

You can even sit if you want to!
The permit didn't touch on this! :)

It was the first time that I noticed a
tee-shirt with Chinese characters
and one with tamil characters too!

Faces of Malaysia standing side by side!

The faithful hearted guys!

Other than Zorro, we have a lone ranger!

More variations of the candles!

The freedom to sit in front of bars!
Isn't this what it's all about?
weather 10/10
turnout 10/10
crowd participation 10/10
peaceful assembly 10/10
feeling of unity and strength 10/10

Overal medal tally: 5 Golds tonight!

Lita,

Please do consider photography as your second career. You just know how and where to capture the image.

Good pics and great theme.

It was a fantastic night which lasted almost 2 hours. Longest we ever had.

Tonight, Negara Ku was loud too. Sang with true patriotic spirit.

Credit to all the organizers and those who attended.

Jarod: Awwwwww Shucks! I accept the medal only because it's from you. That was really observant and also very sweet of you to notice. Take care and God bless.

TheWhisperer: Photography, just like my writing, comes from my heart. As an amateur, I am so thrilled that people say I do such a good job in both. I am very honoured.

Yes, the Negara Ku was really inspiring. People stand at attention and it's easy to see they also feel the patriotic spirit.

Thanks for your valuable input! :)

Lita, no doubt about it, you're the best publicist for the candlelight vigils thus far - you know how to capture the essence of human decency, dignity, and the hearty camaraderie of standing up for truth, justice & freedom. I can see your blog become one of the "blogbusters" because you put all the right ingredients into it - you must be an excellent chef too! :-)

And, yes, your photos hit the spot!!!

Anyway, I knew reading your blogs would work some wonders in my life!

Thanks ever so much! :)

Damn it. It's the first time i missed the vigil. Will not be in KL for the next 2 months. I hope, when Im back, there would be no need for vigils anymore.

Anyway thanks for the updates. Will link you up for weekly or rather weekend updates. :)

The mandarin words on my T-shirt says: Return my right to speak; Abolish ISA!!! It was a design by Mandarin blogger, CC LIEW.
